Diabetes Panel Deluxe

Price: $169.00

Diabetes Panel Deluxe by Lab Test On Demand helps you monitor and control the level of sugar in your blood.

This test helps you care and manage if you have or suspect to have diabetes and to track your diabetes treatment plan.

This panel includes: CBC, CMP, H A1c w/eAG, Insulin levels, Microalbumin / Creatinine Ratio Urine Test and C-Peptid.

This test requires blood and urine samples.

Preparation: Fasting for 12 hours is necessary before the test.

  • CBC Test | Complete Blood Count with Differential Test

CBC Test or Complete Blood Count With Differential is a test used to measure blood abnormalities, it is one of the most common tests used to monitor overall health status.

CBC measures certain blood cells such as Red Blood Cells, White Blood Cells, and Platelets and seeks to explain a variety of conditions and/or diseases such as Anemia, Leukemia, and infections -among others- and check symptoms such as fatigue, weakness or bruising.

  • CMP Test: Comprehensive Metabolic Panel

CMP Test or Comprehensive Metabolic Panel Blood Test is an initial broad screening tool used to evaluate organ function and electrolyte balance, it also aids in the determination of certain conditions such as diabetes, liver disease and kidney disease or for monitoring treatments related to liver and kidney.

CMP is usually ordered as part of a routine health check.

The CMP or Chem-14 includes tests for:

    • Liver function (ALP, ALT, AST, Bilirubin)

    • Kidney function (BUN, Creatinine)

    • Electrolytes and fluid balance (Sodium, Potassium, Carbon Dioxide, Chloride)

    • Proteins (Albumin, Total Protein)

    • Blood Sugar (Glucose)

    • Calcium

  • Hemoglobin A1C with eAG Test

Hemoglobin A1C test monitors and controls blood glucose (blood sugar) levels. eAG is basically a snapshot of your average blood glucose levels taken over 2 to 3 months.

The American Diabetes Association (ADA) recommends this test twice a year for people with stable blood sugar and quarterly for patients with poor blood sugar control.

This test assesses long term diabetic control in Diabetes Mellitus.

  • Insulin Blood Test

Insulin Blood Test helps track insulin levels in the blood and can help assess insulin resistance.

The lack of insulin causes the level of sugar in your blood to become abnormally high, too much sugar in your blood can cause many problems including life-threatening, like diabetes, if not treated.

The abnormal production of insulin can be caused by certain disorders such as metabolic syndrome, diabetes, and other carbohydrate metabolic processes. Too much insulin in the blood may cause low levels of sugar in the blood (Hypoglycemia) which causes other types of disorders.

  • Microalbumin / Creatinine Ratio Urine Test, Random

This test measures the ratio of Albumin to Creatinine, being Albumin a protein and Creatinine a waste product processed by the kidneys.

This test is useful in avoiding or delaying the onset of diabetic renal disease.

Albumin is a major protein normally present in blood, but virtually no albumin is present in the urine when the kidneys are functioning properly. However, albumin may be detected in the urine even in the early stages of kidney disease.

When Albumin is detected in small amounts in the person’s urine it may indicate that the kidneys are not functioning properly since blood and urine excretion of creatinine is stable, creatinine excretion is useful in determining if a 24 hour specimen was accurately collected.

A small amount of Albumin in the urine is sometimes referred to as urine Microalbumin, hence the name of the test .

Turnaround time for this test is normally 1 business day.

  • C-Peptide Test

C-Peptide test helps evaluate insulin levels in people taking insulin medications to treat diabetes.

C-Peptide is an aminoacid chain that is released when the pancreas produces insulin so it is an excellent marker for insulin levels produced by the body.

This test is not used to diagnose diabetes, but it can give an accurate reading to treat it, it also tells the difference between the insulin produced by your body and the one you take.
