This panel requires a blood sample.
Preparation: Fasting is not necessary for this panel.
Estradiol Test measures the level of Estradiol (E2) in the blood.
Estradiol is a very important hormone for both women and men. Estradiol acts in the growth and maintenance of organs related to sex and fertility.
The Estradiol Test checks for sexual and ovarian function in women to assess infertility, abnormal menstruation or symptoms of menopause.
In men, Estradiol helps maintain sperm cell health.
Progesterone Test measures the level of the hormone Progesterone in your body.
Progesterone is a hormone produced by the ovaries and the adrenal glands. In women it regulates the reproductive system (fertility, pregnancy, menstruation). In men, low levels of progesterone are involved in the production of semen.
The test evaluates ovarian function and time of ovulation to understand causes of infertility.
Testosterone ,Free Test measures the total and freely circulating Testosterone.
Testosterone is a vital hormone in both men and women, abnormal quantities can impact quality of life.
Low Testosterone levels in men can lead to lower sex drive, erectile dysfunction, low energy, low muscle mass, memory loss, etc. In women, abnormal Testosterone could cause male physical traits (facial hair, lower voice).
FSH Test is used to measure the level of Follicle-Stimulating Hormones (FSH).
FSH is an important hormone in the process of reproduction by helping the body develop eggs in women and sperm in men.
FSH Test is important to assess fertility in women and to measure ovulation. Abnormal high or low levels of FSH may result in infertility in women. Low levels of FSH in men can affect sperm production.
The LH (Luteinizing Hormone) test measures the LH levels in the blood.
The LH Hormone influences the reproductive organs and is ordered to evaluate fertility.
In women LH plays an important role in ovarian maturation and Estradiol levels. LH is an indicator that ovulation has occurred, it is a fertility signal for anyone trying to get pregnant.
In men LH is involved in the elaboration of testosterone and is associated with men’s sexual drive.
Prolactin Test measures the amount of prolactin in the blood. Prolactin is a hormone whose primary role is to promote breast milk production (lactation). It is normally elevated in women during pregnancy and just after childbirth. It is normally low in men and non-pregnant women.
Get tested to help investigate unexplained flow of breast milk (galactorrhea), abnormal nipple discharge, absence of menstrual periods, and/or infertility in women; in men, to help diagnose the cause of decreased libido and/or erectile dysfunction; to detect and monitor a pituitary tumor that produces prolactin (prolactinoma)
