Cortisol AM test is used to measure Cortisol levels in the blood early in the day.
This test aids in the diagnosis of conditions related to the adrenal and pituitary glands.
Proper control levels of Cortisol are important for the body to maintain a number of functions such as blood pressure, glucose levels, immune response and stress management.
Preparation: No fasting is required. Specimen should be collected between 7 AM and 9 AM do not take this test if you are using Prednisone or Prednisolone.
