Gluten Allergy Blood Test (f79) IgE

The Gluten Allergy Blood Test helps check for an allergy to gluten ( A protein found in wheat, barley and rye).

This test uses the ImmunoCAP lab methodology. Gluten allergy shows similar conditions as Celiac Disease, unlike gluten allergy, Celiac Disease can cause permanent harm to the body if it is not treated.

Gluten allergy is less severe than Celiac disease. People with this allergy will have all sorts of abdominal discomfort that will disappear when gluten is cut of the diet.

Preparation: Fasting is not necessary for this test.
