The American Diabetes Association (ADA) has recommended testing twice a year for patients with stable blood sugar and quarterly for patients with poor blood sugar control. The test is recommended to diagnose Pre-Diabetes, type 1 Diabetes and type 2 Diabetes.
Preparation: It is not necessary to fast for this test but if possible visit the lab early in the morning.
