Hepatitis A IgM Test is used to detect early or recent infections and to diagnose the disease in people with symptoms of acute Hepatitis. A positive IgM result typically indicates there is presence of Hepatitis A. Hepatitis A is a viral infection that causes inflammation of the liver.
Hepatitis A is usually spread through exposure of fecal matter, through contaminated drinking water, eating food or produce that has not been properly washed, through some forms of sexual contact and is associated with flu-like symptoms.
